2024 - Humanitarian Simulation Exercise (SimEx) Technical Report, Timor-Leste
The Humanitarian Simulation Exercise (SimEx), held in Timor-Leste in December 2024, aimed to assess and enhance emergency preparedness and response capacities at national and sub-national levels. Co-hosted by the Civil Protection Authority and WFP, the exercise engaged 81 participants from five municipalities and national entities in a simulated flooding and cyclone scenario to test the National Civil Protection Emergency Plan.
Timor-Leste: Humanitarian Logistics Preparedness Inception Workshop, Dili, 14-15 November 2024
📢 In November 2024, the Civil Protection Authority, with support from WFP-led Logistics Cluster's Field-Based Preparedness Project (FBPP), launched the Humanitarian Logistics Preparedness Inception Workshop in Dili. This workshop brought together key stakeholders, including government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs, and the private sector, to strengthen emergency logistics and enhance national disaster response capabilities. The initiative aimed to streamline responses to natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods by focusing on improved coordination and efficiency.
Timor-Leste: Second Humanitarian Logistics Preparedness Workshop, Dili, 23-24 June 2025
👉 Timor-Leste: The Civil Protection Authority, with support from WFP-led Logistics Cluster’s Field-Based Preparedness Project (FBPP) hosted the second Humanitarian Logistics Preparedness Workshop this week in Dili. With over 100 participants (of 42 agencies) from government, humanitarian partners, civil society, and academia, the workshop aimed to establish a technical working group and strengthen national leadership in emergency logistics coordination, institutional readiness, and systemic resilience for future emergency response 🤝
