Coordination

The Logistics Cluster has set up coordination cells in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, and Yangon, and conducts bi-weekly coordination meetings at national and subnational levels to enhance collaboration and facilitate the exchange of information among humanitarian actors.

Information Management

The Logistics Cluster develops and shares static and interactive logistics planning maps, disseminates updates on physical access constraints, logistics gaps, and available capacities, and consolidates and shares operational information via a dedicated response webpage, instant messaging groups, and mailing lists.

Storage

Augmentation of reception capacity at Yangon airport,and as required in Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw Airports. Consolidation and warehousing (including temperature-controlled storage if feasible) of humanitarian cargo in Yangon, Mandalay and other strategic locations, and preparation for onward movement in line with sectoral prioritization. Augmentation of partners capacity with temporary storge capacity (mobile storage units) in remote locations.

Overland Transport

Access to land transport services between the different Logistics Cluster logistics hubs (Yangon, Mandalay,and Nay Pyi Taw) and accessible routes to affected communities if/where required. Transport of humanitarian cargo via road from Yangon to Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw.
