Situation Update
Due to the tropical system “GEZANI” strengthening into a Tropical Cyclone, the Maritime Transport Regulatory Authority (ITRANSMAR) has suspended all maritime, river and lake navigation, as well as maritime transport and fishing activities, in the provinces of Gaza, Inhambane and Sofala. The measure takes effect from 00:00 on 11 February 2026 and will remain in place until weather and sea conditions are safe again.

Situation Update
Reopening of traffic on the N1 road, Baixa de Nguluzane, Xai-Xai city, Gaza province The National Roads Administration, ANE, IP, communicates to motorists and the general public that traffic for all types of vehicles will be reopened tomorrow, February 6th, at 10 am, and CONDITIONALLY, on the N1 road, in Baixa de Nguluzane, Xai-Xai City, in Gaza province.

Situation Update
The N220 road between Chissano and Chibuto (Gaza Province) has been reopened to traffic as of 16:00 today. Transit is currently limited to light vehicles and buses while improvement works continue. Heavy‑vehicle circulation will resume once works are completed. (Source: ANE)
Situation Update
Traffic on the N1 is partially reopened between 3 de Fevereiro and Incoluana as of 30 January. The Xai‑Xai section remains impassable, with no land link between Maputo and Xai‑Xai. Several roads in Gaza province are still closed. Night travel (20:00–05:00) is suspended and STOP‑AND‑GO controls apply from 2 February for 30 days. Drivers should avoid night travel and follow all signs. More info in LogIE
