Module 2: Customs and Humanitarian Aid

"Customs and Humanitarian Aid" goes into detail about the linkage between, and the effects of, customs and the humanitarian supply chain. It covers the areas of international legal framework; where and how customs makes an impact; customs and both declared emergencies and non-declared emergencies; and the optimum customs lifecycle. Also attached is a copy of the UN/WCO Customs Model Agreement and the IFRC IDRL Guidelines for reference.

Module 4: Customs Facilitation in Emergency Humanitarian Assistance: The Nepalese Case

This module looks, in detail, at the effect of the UN/WCO Customs Model Agreement on emergency humanitarian assistance. In light of this, it uses the "Nepal Pilot Project for the Implementation of the UN Customs Model Agreement in Emergency Humanitarian Assistance" as the point of departure. The focus is on the implementation plan, emergency response plan and its subsequent related training workshops. Also included is one of the Nepal training sessions (in Nepalese) and the Nepal Emergency Response Plan.
