Highlights

Merka-Awdhegle: Black Cotton Muddy conditions has improved and the convoy of 287 mt, which was stuck at K50 area and KM 20 for a week was finally cleared and delivered the food at FDPs level.

Merka- Jilib and Danane: in Jilib and Danane and some of the secondary villages of Merka district, the FDPs were found inaccessible due to mining road and sandy area. However, these difficulties  were overcame using alternative route and 4 WD vehicles.  

Merka-Kurtunwarrey: the roads connecting Allafuto, Muruqmaal and Uranurow were inaccessible. However, the food were delivered and distributed in other secondary villages close to the FDPs.

Kis-Kis-Jamama; Kis-Jilib; Kis-Afmado; Kis-Badade: except Badade and Afmadow, remained difficult to access due to Black Cotton Muddy, other locations nearby are accessible.

Mombassa-Malindi-Hola-Garissa-Wajir-Kutulow-Elwak-Mandhera: roads in Hola and in Kutulow dried up and  are accessible during reporting period.

Ex Mombassa-Garbaharrey; Garbaharrey-Garbaharrey; Garbaharrey-Burdhubo; Garbaharrey-Bardhere: the road condition is Black Cotton Dry and accessible.

Burwayne-Jimbilay-Jalaqsi: remain accessible and the road condition is Black Cotton Dry.

Mogadishu-Afgoi-Walaweyne-Burhakaba-Baidoa-Wajid: no rains and the road remained accessible

Wajid-Baidoa-Awdinle-Berdale: roads are accessible

No rains and all roads in Punt-land remained open and access during the week.

Somaliland: on 17/12 at Yayle area an armed local militia attached a truck carrying food for Hadhwanag, Shululux, Lasa Dar etc (29.5 MT) of Las Anod district. The truck managed to escape and food were safely returned to WFP Warehouse.
