Overview

The Logistics Cluster is a service cluster. Alongside operational logistics skills and experience in emergency environments, Logistics Cluster staff, secondees and partners need an array of soft skills to be able fulfil the cluster mandate while deployed in emergencies as well as when working at global level.

These soft skills include meeting management, presentation, team leadership, negotiation, and customer service.

Objective

Logisticians who complete the SMT will learn to be more customer oriented and attentive to the needs of those requesting the service contributing to improve the overall efficiency of the operation. The SMT provides humanitarian logisticians with a realistic approach to customer service principles and on how these can be applied in Logistics Cluster operations.

Once your account has been created and you have logged in, please enrol yourself on the ‘Service Mindset Training’ course. This is a public course and does not have restrictions.
You should proceed through the course in three stages:
1. Download the course package and work through it – Please do not complete the test in the download as it will not count towards the completion of the course or the certificate.
2. Once you have finished the course, please attempt the quiz.
3. On successful completion of the quiz you can retrieve your certificate and either print or save it for future use.
