1. HIGHLIGHTS

The Bangkok Logistics Cluster meeting took place today: 30 participants attended the meeting. The Yangon Logistics Cluster meeting is planned for tomorrow Tuesday 3rd June at 14.00 hours.

The MI8 brought into Myanmar for inter agency use flew to Labutta today carrying a logistics assessment team and 0.5 mt of HEBs.

2.  CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES:

  • The WFP chartered boat Claudia has loaded in Phuket and is departing for Yangon with cargo donated by the French for WFP, Merlin, and the Red Cross.
  • Cargo dispatched  by the cluster from 20th  May  to 1st  June:

4. LOGISTICS HUBS:

Pyapon: 480 sqm operational (240 sqm dedicated to CARE and 1,600 sqm under construction)

Bogale: 1,200 sqm operational (240 sqm dedicated to UNICEF, 240 to WFP, 240 to IOM) 720 sqm under construction

Mawlanyaingyun:  2,000 sqm available in MAPT w/h

Labutta:  1,840 sqm (240 sqm dedicated to UNICEF, 1,120 to WFP, 480 available)

Pathein:  1,200 sqm under negotiation
