1. HIGHLIGHTS
- Logistics Cluster meeting was held today in Yangon 36 participants attended the meeting.
2. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES:
- To date the following items are stocked into the interagency warehouse in Yangon:
SHELTER: 105 mt
WASH: 1.5mt
EDUCATION: 4 mt
HEALTH: 1.9 mt
LOGISTICS SUPPORT EQUIPMENT: 11 mt
Terms of reference, reporting lines and a schematic process review for the Logistics Cluster has been distributed during the meeting in Yangon.
3. AIR OPERATIONS:
- Today the following fight came into Yangon :

IL 76 (12.30) n/a WFP 35 mt of HEBs cleared
- One AN 12 and one IL76 will also be available as of tomorrow to serve the air bridge form Bangkok to Yangon.
4. WATER TRANSPORT:
- The barge for Labutta is loading in Yangon 33 mt of NFIs for MERLIN, 12 mt of food for WFP and l8 mt of logistics support equipment for the Logistics Cluster. The barge is scheduled to depart for Labutta tomorrow 29th May.
- The Logistics Cluster identified small boats than can be rented:
10 boats 2 MT capacity
10 boats 1 MT capacity
These boats have a roof and are currently based in Pathein but can be sent to Labutta and Bogale area. For prices and contacts, please contact the Logistics Cluster.
5. LOGISTICS HUBS:
Please see below updates on the actual situation of the Logistics Hub set up for the operation:
Maw'gyun: WFP has agreed with MAPT for the use of their 5,000 tons w/h. 2,500 tons allocated for the Logistics Cluster
Bogale: 2 ×MSU up (1 dedicated to UNICEF) 3xMSUs under construction
150 pallets
Pathein: 4 units of 400 mt each Tot. 1,600
Labutta: 7 ×MSUs up ( 1 dedicated to UNICEF and 4 to WFP)
Pyapon: 2xMSUs up, 150 pallets received
6. NEXT LOGISTICS CLUSTER MEETING:
The next meeting of the Yangon Logistics Cluster will be held Friday 30th May 2008 at 1400 hrs.
