1. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES

Since the start of the emergency operation on May 20th, the Logistics Cluster
has delivered the following cargo inside Myanmar by boat and road:

2. AIR OPERATIONS:

TOTAL of FLIGHTS ex DMK: (24th May -25th June): 96

  • Arrived today 25th: 4 (2 for IOM/UNICEF, 1 for UNICEF/Merlin, 1 for UNICEF)
  • Planned for tomorrow 25th: 4 (WVI, UNICEF, ACF and IOM/IFRC with shelter kits, student bags, buckets, medical supplies and cabinets.

FLIGHTS EX DMK COMPLETED FOR 25th JUNE: (see document attached)

HELICOPTER UPDATE:

  • Total number of locations reached up to the 24th of June: 81
  • Total rotations: 342
  • Planned for tomorrow: 8 helicopter operations carrying food for WFP and THW teams to prepare for the distribution of water purification units.
  • Rotations planned for tomorrow 26th: 25

3. CARGO OPERATIONS:

  • The shipping procedures for sea freight being received by the Logistics Cluster in Bangkok have changed. All cargo arriving from sea into Bangkok must now state the “Notification Party” as the United Nations World Food Program and no longer Thai Airways.

4. HUBS

  • The Logistics Cluster in Mawgyun is working on standardizing local labour charges and transportation costs, to be finalized this coming week.
  • Renovations for MSUs are continuing in Pyapon. Most are now fully operational.

5. UPDATE ON LOCAL SUPPLIERS

  • The Logistics Cluster has compiled a list of local suppliers to assist organizations wishing to contract transport or purchase relief goods locally.
