1. CLUSTER ACTIVITIES

  • Since the start of the emergency operation on May 20th, the Logistics Cluster has delivered the following cargo inside Myanmar by boat and road:

2. AIR OPERATIONS:

 TOTAL of FLIGHTS ex DMK: (24th May -23rd June): 88

Arrived today 23rd: 4 (2 for UNICEF, one for UNICEF/Concern and one for MSFCH)

Planned for tomorrow 24th: 4 (2 for WVI, 1 for CARE and 1 for UNICEF) carrying health supplies, jerrycans, shelter kits, ropes and plastic tarps

FLIGHTS EX DMK COMPLETED FOR 23rd JUNE: (see document attached)

HELICOPTER UPDATE:

  • Total number of locations reached up to the 23rd of June: 76
  • Total rotations: 295
  • Planned for tomorrow: 6 helicopter operations carrying food for WFP
  • Rotations planned for tomorrow 24th: 18
  • The new passenger booking procedure comes into effect today.

3. WATERWAYS:

  • One boat left today with 380 mt of food for Bogale.

4. DISTRIBUTION PLANNING:

  • The Logistics Cluster has been flying to remote villages to deliver humanitarian supplies Many of these were identified as the result of the Village Tract  assessment. An initial list of these villages and trusted coordinates have been posted.
  • Logistics Cluster helicopters remain available through the common transport service to carry aid to hard-to-reach destinations. Agencies and INGOs are invited to file a CMR, or to contact the Logistics Cluster for information or assistance.
