1.  HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The first Bogale Logistics Cluster meeting was held yesterday 12th June in Bogale. 
  • A MEDEVAC took place today with the support of one of helicopters operating in the Delta area.

2.  CLUSTER ACTIVITIES UPDATES:

  • The first Logistics Cluster meeting in Bogale was held on the 12th June. UNICEF, IOM, GAA and ACF attended the meeting. The logistics cluster will be meeting every Thursday. The next meeting have been scheduled for Thursday 19th June.
  • Cargo dispatched by the Logistics Cluster from 20th May to 13th June:

3. WATER TRANSPORT:

  • Today the 300 mt boat arrived in Maw'Gyun finished the offloading cargo for WSPA, Save the Children, UNICEF, IDE, Log Cluster.
  • 2 boats and 1 barges are currently loading:
300 MT boat: for Bogalay cargo for MSF-CH, CARE, WSPA, UNDP
500 MT barge: in Pathein loading for Latbutta cargo for FAO, MSF-H
350 MT boat: for MLJ cargo for WSPA, UNICEF, IDE.

4. AIR OPERATIONS:

  • Helicopters operations continued with a total of 11rotations out of Bogale and Labutta today.
  • One helicopter (MI8) operated in support of the TRIPARTITE CORE GROUP (TCG) assessment team in Hlaing Pone, Set San and Kadon Kani.
  • Two helicopters (MI8 and PUMA) operated in support of two assessment teams for the Damage and Loss Assessment (DALA) in Bogale, Labutta, Ngapudaw.
  • The fourth helicopter (Mi8) operated out of Labutta delivering 3.6 mt of shelter, hygiene materials and kitchens ste for Merlin in Kaing Thung, Bo kone, Zin Pyon Kone, Theik Pan Kone. Two MERLIN medical teams were also on board of the helicopters and set up clinics in two of these locations.
  • At 14.25 hours the Logistics Cluster received a request from MSF Holland regarding one of their staff members with an acute case of dengue fever requiring MEDEVAC. After contacting the authorities at the central and district levels, the Logistics Cluster received approval to action the MEDEVAC request at 16.35 hours. The patient was MEDEVAC'T from HAINGYI ISLAND and flown to Yangon.
  • Flights planned to arrive Yangon today: (see attached document)

5. LOGISTICS HUB UPDATES

Pyapon:  2,160 sqm operational (9 units) (240 sqm dedicated to CARE, 240 to MSF-S, 240 to WFP and 240 to WVI)
Bogale: 1,680 sqm operational (7 units) (480 sqm dedicated to UNICEF, 240 to WFP, 240 to IOM , 240 to ACF and 240 sqm to GAA)
Mawlanyaingyun:  2,000 sqm available in MAPT w/h
Labutta:  1,840 sqm (7units) (240 sqm dedicated to UNICEF, 560 to WFP)
Pathein:  1,200 sqm under negotiation
