The seventh humanitarian relief convoy (Convoy 07) successfully delivered 592MT of food and 10 trucks of UNICEF NFRI into the Vanni region.
Convoy 07 departed on Tuesday 09th December at 09:25 am and returned to the Inter Agency Logistics Hub on Wednesday 10th December at 18:05 pm.
Ensuring the safe passage of the convoy is a crucial condition for a successful delivery of relief assistance. Security issues are a top priority and should be addressed at all levels.
